More than 1,500 without power in SLO County during outage

A power outage cut off electricity to more than 1,500 PG&E customers in San Luis Obispo County on Wednesday evening.

According to PG&E’s outage report map, 1,580 customers in northern and eastern San Luis Obispo County lost power around 7:22 p.m. The outage was centered around highways 46 and 58.

PG&E said a team was “evaluating the electrical system to identify damaged sections and make necessary repairs in order to safely turn the power back on.”

Power is expected to be restored by 3:15 a.m.
