One person was rescued via helicopter after they fell and injured themselves near Lopez Lake on Monday.

The San Luis Obispo County Fire Department and Cal Fire responded to the Lopez Lake Water Treatment Plant area after a reported fall injury, the agencies said on X on Monday evening. “Due to the location of the incident,” the California Highway Patrol’s helicopter also responded and airlifted the person to nearby ground resources.

The patient sustained minor injuries, Cal Fire said. “Thank you to all responding agencies for the coordinated rescue effort,” the post said.
