Multi-car pileup slows traffic on Highway 101 in SLO County
A multi-car pileup slowed southbound traffic on Highway 101 near Arroyo Grande on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol traffic incident page, officers responded to the report of a two-vehicle collision around 2:19 p.m at the Halcyon Road off-ramp. The crash involved a burgundy Nissan and a white work truck, according to the CHP page.
The San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Office, fire and medics were later called around 2:35 p.m., although no injuries were reported.
A second, smaller crash involving three different vehicles was also reported in the vicinity at the same time, though details on the extent of that crash were not available.
By 3:30 p.m., both vehicles were cleared from southbound lanes, although traffic was still backed up to the 4th Street on-ramp in Pismo Beach.
