A vegetation fire threatened a structure in northern San Luis Obispo County on Thursday afternoon.

The fire ignited in grass near Warms Springs Lane and Lake Ysabel Road in Templeton around 2:57 p.m., according to the emergency response application PulsePoint.

The blaze had burned up to 2 acres with a potential spread to 5 acres, Cal Fire spokesperson Ryan Grebe told The Tribune.

The fire had a moderate rate of spread and was threatening one structure as of 3:10 p.m, he said.

Cal Fire said several units were responding to the blaze, according to a post on X.

Forward progress was stopped at 3:23 p.m., according to emergency radio traffic.
