A cyclist who planned to ride down the Big Sur coast from Monterey over the weekend is now missing.

The last known whereabouts of Eoin “Owen” McLoughlin, 28, were when he parked his vehicle in a Monterey parking lot, according to an informational poster on social media.

McLoughlin, who speaks with an Irish accent, reportedly intended to pedal the approximately 60 miles of coastal Highway 1 to Kirk Creek Campground, camp there and then continue across Nacimiento-Ferguson Road to King City.
