It’s not too late to plan your getaway vacation.

Airports in San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria and Santa Barbara offer a variety of flights to vacation destinations ranging from snowy-capped cities to sunny beachside spots.

Here are some of the cheapest flights you can take from the Central Coast:

Where can you fly nonstop from Central Coast airports?

San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport offers direct flights to nine locations across the United States, including Dallas, Denver, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

Nonstop flights are also available to Phoenix, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco and Seattle.

At Santa Barbara Airport, you can choose from 26 daily nonstop flights to 13 major hubs, including Oakland, Salt Lake City and Seattle, the airport said on its website.

Santa Maria Airport currently has nonstop flights to Las Vegas and Phoenix.

If you don’t mind catching a connecting flight, you can jet off to dozens of other destinations from the SLO, Santa Barbara and Santa Maria airports for cheap.

What are affordable one-way flights from SLO?

The Tribune searched through Google Flights to find the most affordable one-way plane trip options for San Luis Obispo-area travelers during the months of March and April.

These were the least expensive nonstop and indirect flights available from the SLO airport as of Tuesday, March 17:

  • Seattle: $99 on United Airlines
  • Las Vegas: $149 on Alaskan Airlines
  • San Diego: $129 on Alaska Airlines
  • San Francisco: $145 on Alaskan Airlines
  • New York City: $155 on American Airlines
  • Denver: $180 on Alaska Airlines
  • Boston: $195 on United Airlines
  • Austin: $210 on Alaska Airlines
  • Nashville: $210 on Alaska Airlines

How much does it cost to fly from Santa Barbara to Seattle?

Santa Barbara Airport was also offering several inexpensive flights in March and April, including some nonstop trips.

According to Google Flights, these were the most affordable one-way flights from Santa Barbara as of Tuesday, March 17:

  • San Diego: $69 on Southwest Airlines
  • Las Vegas: $88 on Alaska Airlines
  • San Francisco: $89 on United Airlines
  • Seattle: $89 to Seattle on United Airlines
  • Vancouver, British Columbia: $121 on United Airlines
  • New York City: $136 on United Airlines
  • Chicago: $148 on Southwest Airlines
  • Boston: $159 on United Airlines
  • Washingon, D.C.: $159 on United Airlines
  • New Orleans: $169 on United Airlines
  • Miami: $175 on American Airlines

Find ticket prices for direct flights to Las Vegas

Santa Maria Airport only offers flights to two destinations — Las Vegas and Phoenix — through Allegiant Air and American Airlines, respectively.

However, the airline is offering the most inexpensive flights on the Central Coast this spring.

As of Tuesday, March 17, you could fly nonstop to Sin City for $44 via Allegiant Air in March, according to Google Flights.

When does spring break start for SLO County schools?

Spring break holidays vary across San Luis Obispo Coutny, depending on the school district or higher education institution.

Here’s when Central Coast colleges and universities begin spring break:

  • Cal Poly: March 23 to 28
  • Cuesta College: March 23 to 28
  • UC Santa Barbara: March 21 to 29

Here’s when SLO County school districts serving students in kindergarten through 12th grade observe spring break, according to the San Luis Obispo County Office of Education.

  • Atascadero Unified School District: April 6 to 10
  • Cayucos Elementary School District: March 23 to 27
  • Coast Unified School District: March 23 to 27
  • Lucia Mar Unified School District: April 6 to 10
  • Paso Robles Joint Unified School District: April 3 to 10
