3-vehicle crash on Highway 101 backs up traffic in SLO
A three-vehicle crash on Highway 101 caused a possible injury and slowed traffic to a crawl Friday afternoon in San Luis Obispo, the California Highway Patrol said.
At about 3:38 p.m., a Honda Civic crashed with two other vehicles in the southbound lanes of the highway near the Santa Rosa Street off-ramp, the CHP traffic log said.
As of 3:39 p.m., the Honda Civic was stuck in the No. 1 lane of the highway, and the occupant had not yet exited the vehicle. The CHP log said the occupant may have been injured in the crash, and an ambulance was sent to the scene.
The other two vehicles were originally stuck in the center divide of the highway, but by 2:48 pm., they had been moved to the side of the road, the CHP said.
Traffic was backed up to the base of the Cuesta Grade in the southbound lanes of Highway 101 as of 4:10 p.m., the Caltrans traffic cameras showed.
