A car struck and injured a cyclist in San Luis Obispo on Thursday morning, the San Luis Obispo Police Department said.

The driver crashed into the biker at about 8:50 a.m. on South Higuera Street near the South Street intersection, police said.

“The cyclist was wearing a helmet, suffered minor injuries and did not get transported to the hospital,” police said in a Facebook post. Photos shared with the post showed emergency responders helping a person lying on the roadside.
