Wrong-way driver crashes on Highway 101 in SLO County in suspected DUI

A suspected DUI driver traveling the wrong way on Highway 101 crashed their car in San Luis Obispo County on Wednesday night, according to California Highway Patrol.

A vehicle driving northbound in the southbound lane of Highway 101 crashed into another vehicle just north of Highway 166 near Nipomo, the CHP said in a Facebook post.

The crash resulted in minor injuries.

“Alcohol or drugs may have been a factor in the crash,” the Facebook post said.
