More people traveled through SLO airport in 2025 than ever before. How many?

More travelers flew through the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport last year than ever before.

The SLO airport saw a record-breaking number of passengers in 2025 with 811,905 people passing through the hub, the airport said in a Tuesday news release.

That represents an 8.7% uptick in total passengers compared to 2024 when 746,764 people traveled through the airport, according to the release.

In 2023, the airport also saw a 13% increase from its previous record of 660,745 passengers, The Tribune previously reported.

“Reaching this historic passenger total is only possible because of the extraordinary teamwork that takes place at SLO County Airport every day,” Director of Airports Courtney Johnson said in the release.

Last year’s record-breaking passenger count was driven by strong airline performance, ongoing community support and continued investments in facilities, safety and customer experience, the airport said.

“Reliable air service is essential not only for welcoming visitors, but also for supporting our business community by providing critical access to and from San Luis Obispo County,” SLO County Supervisor Dawn Ortiz-Legg said in the release. “This level of growth highlights the airport’s role as an economic engine for the region and a key connector for residents, businesses, and visitors alike.”
