Callie Twisselman grew up on her family’s seventh-generation grain and cattle ranch in Shandon.

For the rising SLO County music artist, performing a live radio broadcast on one of the biggest stages in country music — the Grand Ole Opry — was just a dream.

That dream is coming true for Twisselman, as she set to debut her first EP album at the Opry on Dec. 27.

“I’ve been dreaming of this my whole life!” Twisselman wrote in an Instagram post. “Thank you Jesus for not letting this girl give up!”

Twisselman goes on to write that she made a deal with her 89-year-old grandma that if she ever played at the Grand Ole Opry that her grandma would come and watch.

After over 40 years of not flying on a plane, her grandma is making the trip to see her granddaughter sing.

SLO County country artist combines singles for EP album

While Twisselman can only perform two songs on the popular Nashville stage like all debut artists, she chose two singles that also appear on her new EP, “Growing in Grace.”

Twisselman will sing “King & Queen of Recklessness” and “Ghost in My Head,” both originally released earlier this year in March and September respectively.

All five of Twisselman’s singles released in 2025 were combined and re-released on Dec. 5 for her EP album “Growing in Grace.”

“This EP is a combination of songs about my faith, family and relationships,” Twisselman wrote in an Instagram announcement about the new album. “Through all the struggles, heartbreak and gratitude, one thing is for certain. I’m GROWING IN GRACE.”

How to watch or listen to the country artist’s Opry debut

To watch the Grand Ole Opry live or on-demand, Circle Country will air the broadcast show.

The Opry’s Facebook and YouTube channel will also livestream the show.
