Sensorio in Paso Robles announces a new, limited-time exhibit. See the video
A new, locally designed exhibit has arrived at Sensorio in Paso Robles, illuminating one of the city’s most prominent natural symbols.
“Radiant Roots” was designed by Central Coast artist Bjorn Schaller, a former Hollywood film producer and sound designer, according to Solterra Strategies spokesperson Diana Parker. Schaller creates multimedia projections that have been displayed around San Luis Obispo County.
Schaller’s Sensorio exhibit projects light, color and movement onto a massive oak tree within the popular Paso Robles destination’s hilly landscape.
A video provided to The Tribune showed the artwork flashing between different colors and patterns to draw attention to the tree, which is visible from Sensorio’s walking paths and event space, Parker said.
“Radiant Roots” is the first Sensorio exhibit to be designed by a local artist, according to Parker.
It is part of the destination’s holiday programming, which will also include a Dec. 18 performance of “The Nutcracker” and visits from Santa on Dec. 18, 22, and 23.
“Radiant Roots” is available for viewing now. While advertised as a limited-time exhibit, the closing date was not immediately available.
Sensorio’s exhibits typically blend color, light and sound to create immersive experiences for visitors as they walk through the outdoor gallery, which is settled into the hills of Paso Robles, bordering Highway 46 East.
Other exhibits include DIMENSIONS, FOSO, Field of Light, Light Towers, Fireflies and Gone Fishing.
Sensorio will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day but will stay open on New Year’s Eve.
Tickets for Sensorio start at $65. Visit sensoriopaso.com for more information.
