Damaged pole causes cuts power for more than 3,000 in SLO County

Power was restored for more than 3,000 PG&E customers in southern San Luis Obispo County after it was first cut by a damaged pole Tuesday morning.

According to PG&E’s outage center, 3,044 customers lost power at 8:19 a.m. The utility company said crew members found a damaged power pole and was making repairs.

The outage was focused in Oceano, with most of the effected customers east of Front Street, south of Farroll Avenue, west of The Pike and north of Cienaga Street, the outage map showed. Some customers from Elm Street to Halcyon Road on both sides of Cienaga Street were also impacted, the outage map showed.

Power was restored by 10:30 a.m.
