SLO County man killed in Highway 101 crash identified

The San Luis Obispo County man who died in a car crash on Highway 101 on Friday night has been identified.

Paso Robles resident Jonas Michael Gillespie, 45, was killed in the crash at 7:14 p.m. on Friday, California Highway Patrol officer Angela Molinar told The Tribune.

The crash took place on southbound Highway 101 after Madonna Road in San Luis Obispo, according to the CHP release said.

The crash was between a car and a pedestrian, but the exact circumstances of the incident are still unclear. It’s also unclear how Gillespie was involved.
