Do you need to grab some snacks for your Labor Day beach picnic? Still searching for side dishes for a family barbecue?

Although a few businesses across San Luis Obispo County are closed for Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 1, many stores are keeping their doors open for the holiday.

Here’s a list of what is open and closed on Monday across SLO County — from supermarkets and pharmacies to banks.

Holiday hours can differ by location, so be sure to check with your local store before heading out.

Are SLO County grocery stores open on Labor Day?

Here’s when local grocery stores will be open on Monday, Labor Day, and which ones will close on the holiday:

Are local pharmacies open on Labor Day?

Here are open hours for pharmacies in SLO County on Monday, as well as which pharmacies will be closed:

  • CVS: Store open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday; pharmacy open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Walgreens: Store open 24 hours Monday; pharmacy open 2 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.
  • Walmart: Store open 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday; pharmacy open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Vons: Store open 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday; pharmacy closed.

What else is closed in SLO County on Labor Day?

Government offices such as the U.S. Postal Service and public libraries will be closed on Monday for Labor Day, as well as most banks.

Package delivery services FedEx and UPS will also be closed for the holiday.
