A one-acre vegetation fire threatened three structures in Atascadero on Friday afternoon.

The fire broke out around 2:21 p.m. on Friday afternoon on San Marcos Road in Atascadero, according to emergency response app PulsePoint.

At 2:30 p.m., the fire reached one acre and was threatening three structures, burning on both sides of the road, according to the Watch Duty app.

Responding firefighters quickly got control of the fire, and forward progress was stopped at 2:40 p.m., Watch Duty reported.

Smoke from the fire was visible on the ALERTCalifornia Tassajara Peak 2 camera.
