Cal Fire units responded to an injured woman who fell off a horse at Montaña de Oro State Park.

The patient was walked down the hill after the fall and was stable at 11:56 a.m., according to a X post by Cal Fire.

The Horse Emergency Evacuation Team worked with the Urban Search and Rescue and SLO County Fire to assess the situation and draft an extraction plan for the horse, the post said.

CHP’s H70 helicopter was working with crews on the ground to locate the horse as of 2:20 p.m.

The SLO County Sheriff’s Office was called and was en route to use a drone to aid the search, the post said.
