A car crash was backing up traffic on northbound Highway 101 near Templeton on Monday morning.

Around 10:25 a.m. on Monday, California Highway Patrol officers received reports of a crash involving two cars on Highway 101 near the Highway 46, Green Valley Road off-ramp, according to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page.

At the time, it was reported that one vehicle may have been overturned, and the other had landed on Ramada Drive, according to the CHP page.

At 10:35 a.m., a car appeared to be blocking one of the highway lanes, CHP said. One of the cars involved in the crash reportedly received front and rear bumper damage.

The center road divider was also damaged, according to the page.

The roadway reopened by 11:17 a.m. but traffic remained backed up as of 12:10 p.m., according to the Caltrans QuickMap.
