Crash closes Highway 101 lane on Cuesta Grade. ‘Expect delays’
A crash on Highway 101 at the Cuesta Grade closed one lane and slowed traffic Tuesday morning.
The crash occurred in the middle of the Grade around 10:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol’s traffic incident page. The crash appeared to be a single BMW. Photos showed airbags deployed in the vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
According to the CHP page, the crash occurred in the left lane, which was still blocked as of 11 a.m.
Traffic was backed up northbound on the Grade, Caltrans Quickmap showed. Only the middle and right lanes were still open as of 11 a.m.
“Expect delays,” CHP said in a social media post.
