3C-REN energy program supervisor | Limited term, full-time
- Department: Planning and Building
- Salary: $100,297 to $128,003 per year
The supervisor enacts residential energy efficiency programs for construction projects on the Central Coast.
Responsibilities include collaborating with residents, building professionals, consultants and utility companies to administer energy efficiency upgrades to residential building projects.
The program supervisor also manages energy conservation grants and rebates program.
This limited-term position will end on Dec. 31, 2027.

Veterinary technician | Permanent, full-time

- Salary: $51,084 to $65,187 per year
The veterinary technician is responsible for caring for, monitoring and managing all animals at the San Luis Obispo County Animal Services shelter.
The veterinary technician perform routine preventative health measures, including administering vaccines, microchips and medications to animals at the shelter.
Other duties include creating treatment plans, providing dental cleanings and assisting with minor surgeries.

Child support specialist I/II/III | Permanent, full-time

- Salary: $51,812 to $80,080 per year
The child support specialist helps determine and initiate legal action for custody cases under the direction of the child support attorney.
Candidates must be able to manage a child support caseload and determine appropriate action plans for these individuals.
The child support specialist interviews children and parents involved in custody cases; obtains documentary evidence and arranges genetic testing for paternity investigations.
The employee also appears in court to testify in civil and criminal cases as needed.

Deputy county counsel I/II/III/IV | Permanent, full-time

The deputy county counsel conducts professional legal work by prepping and trying civil cases and providing legal assistance to San Luis Obispo County.
The deputy county counsel performs administrative tasks, prosecutes appeals and argues motions and special proceedings.
Other duties include composing legal opinions and preparing legislative matters, ordinances, resolutions, deeds, contracts, leases and bonds.

Deputy probation officer I | Permanent, full-time

The deputy probation officer is responsible for supervising youth and adults on probation.
The deputy probation officer helps past offenders find services for education, housing, medical care and more.
Other duties include preparing written reports on probation cases and testifying in court if necessary.
When a probation violation occurs, the deputy probation officer must conduct an investigation and apprehend the person on probation if a violation or criminal activity has occurred.

The county is searching for a skilled mechanic who can maintain a fleet of specialized equipment at the Morro Bay Golf Course.

The dispatcher will prepares reports and weighs both the availability and location of patrol units to dispatch.

The supervising administrative clerk is in charge of supporting several administrative and operational functions within the department.
The clerk provides oversight of software systems used for public programming, facility reservations and special event coordination, and assists with the marketing of events sponsored by the San Luis Obispo County Parks and Recreation Department.
The clerk will sometimes work in the field at the newly renovated Cayucos Veterans Memorial Hall.
Duties at this site include giving guided tours and meeting with prospective rental clients, coordinating cleaning after events, supervising seasonal staff and scheduling routine maintenance.
