Vehicle rollover on Hwy. 101 slows traffic in SLO County
A car spun out on Highway 101 and rolled over in the center divider in south San Luis Obispo County on Monday afternoon, causing traffic to back up in the area.
At 1:15 p.m., police received reports of a blue car that had spun out on southbound Highway 101 in Nipomo near the West Tefft Street off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information Page.
Traffic was backed up in the southbound lane around the off-ramp at around 2:10 p.m., according to the Caltrans QuickMap.
At 1:22 p.m., the reporting party witnessed the vehicle drive off from the center divider after crash, according to the page. The car was damaged on its side and was “swerving all over” the roadway.
By 1:34, the vehicle was in the center divide again and had rolled over. The car sustained major damage, according to the traffic incident page.
The crash involved only one vehicle, the Highway Patrol posted on X.
A tow truck was requested. It is not yet known if anyone was injured in the crash.
