Building inspector supervisor | Permanent, full-time
- Department: Building & Planning
- Salary: $99,507 to $127,004 per year
The building inspector supervisor plans, directs, assigns and reviews the work of the Planning and Building Department staff.
The supervisor is expected to complete site inspections, issue correction notices and implement department policies. The person hired will act as the chief consultant on code interpretation within the department.

Deputy sheriff | Permanent, full-time
- Department: Sheriff-Coroner
- Salary: $98,030 to $125,112 per year
The deputy sheriff is responsible for patrolling assigned areas to maintain order across the county.
Other duties include reporting to scenes of disturbances, car crashes and reported crimes. Deputies conduct preliminary investigations and issue citations, as well as arrest people disobeying the law.
Deputy sheriffs may also have to serve warrants and occasionally act as bailiff in court.

Juvenile services officer I | Permanent, full-time

- Salary: $61,484.80 to $78,478.40 per year
The juvenile services officer’s primary job is to supervise juveniles in custody. The county employee will observe and report juvenile behavior and be responsible for booking minors into custody.
The officer is expected to help maintain security in assigned areas and verbally de-escalate situations when they arise. The employee also coordinates the safe movement of youth to and from court.

Network engineer I, II or III | Permanent, full-time

- Salary: $74,547 to $130,000 per year
The network engineer helps manage the county’s public safety network infrastructure and telecommunications equipment.
The worker is tasked with installing and repairing microwave radios, network switches and routers.
The engineer also works on ladders, lift platforms and radio towers to troubleshoot and conduct field studies as needed.

Public works civil engineer I, II or III | Permanent, full-time

- Salary: $80,787 to $134,721 per year
The engineer develops plans, produces estimates and writes technical details for the county’s construction contracts.
The engineer is responsible for ensuring the contractor is working in compliance with the contract documents.

Registered dietitian | Permanent, full-time
- Department: Health Agency
- Salary: $68,390 to $87,276 per year
The registered dietitian conducts individual nutrition and breastfeeding assessments for Women, Infants and Children program clients and creates nutrition care plans.
The employee helps develop nutrition education classes and refers clients to medical and social services.
Other duties include overseeing activities at clinic sites, mentoring staff and performing quality improvement audits.

Senior planner | Permanent, full-time

- Salary: $90,480 to $115,481 per year
Working as part of the long-range planning team, the senior planner acts as the lead on priority projects and programs, as well as collaborates with other county teams to complete project goals.
The senior planner is expected to mentor junior-level team members and advise staff on policy and regulatory decisions.

The social worker supervisor serves in the Children’s Services branch, planning, organizing and directing social workers working on child welfare casework.
Other duties include helping develop community resources, in-service training and staff development programs.
The supervisor is tasked with evaluating personnel performances as well.

Staff psychiatrist | Permanent, full-time
- Department: Health Agency
- Salary: $249,912 to $318,947 per year
The staff psychiatrist’s primary job is providing comprehensive psychiatric care to patients with severe mental health disorders.
The staff psychiatrist is tasked with performing intake evaluations, conducting follow-up appointments and prescribing medications to in-person and virtual patients.
The psychiatrist works closely with therapists, licensed psychiatric technicians and other mental health providers, and is expected to help train and guide interns and resident physicians.
