A car crash on Highway 101 slowed northbound traffic through Pismo Beach on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol’s Traffic Incident Information Page, a white Volkswagen Jet was involved in a crash on the northbound side Highway 101 near Spyglass Drive at around 12:41 p.m.

Two minor injuries were reported, prompting an ambulance response to the scene of the crash, according to emergency scanner traffic.

According to the CHP page, the crash rendered the vehicle inoperable, and a tow truck was dispatched to the scene of the crash by 12:50 p.m.

Meanwhile traffic was backed up to the Mattie Drive off-ramp along the northbound lanes as of 1:10 p.m., according to the Caltrans QuickMap.
