Injured driver sent to the hospital after vehicle crash in San Luis Obispo

A man was injured in a vehicle crash in San Luis Obispo on Thursday afternoon.

A Subaru and a pickup truck collided at the intersection of Froom Ranch Way and Los Osos Valley Road at about 2:19 p.m., according San Luis Obispo Police Department Sgt. Bryce Loll.

When emergency responders arrived on the scene, the pickup truck was on its side on Froom Ranch Way.

The driver of the pickup truck was unconscious, and the extent of his injuries were unknown, Loll said.

First responders removed him from the truck and sent him to the hospital in an ambulance.

The Subaru driver was not injured in the crash, Loll said.

The cause of the crash was still under investigation, he said.
