33-year-old woman seriously injured after being hit by car in Paso Robles

A 33-year-old woman was injured after being hit by a car in Paso Robles on Monday.

According to a Paso Robles Police Department news release, police received a call about a single-vehicle traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a blue Dodge Charger at approximately 5:20 p.m.

The crash was reportedly in the 3300 block of Spring Street.

According to the release, the vehicle’s driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Drugs and alcohol were not thought to be contributing factors, according to the release.

The woman, a resident of Paso Robles, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment, the release said.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

The Paso Robles Police Department requested anyone with information call the department at 805-237-6464. Anyone who wishes to remain anonymous was encouraged to call Crime Stoppers’ 24-hour hotline at 805-549-STOP or by texting “SLOTIPS” plus your message to CRIMES (274637).

Monday’s crash was the second similar incident to occur in Paso Robles in the past week.

On Thursday, a 74-year-old man was hit while walking in the 1800 block of Spring Street. He sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
