74-year-old man injured after being hit by driver in Paso Robles

A 74-year-old man was injured Thursday night when he was hit by a car in Paso Robles, police said.

The man was hit while walking in the 1800 block of Spring Street, according to Paso Robles Police Department.

At around 7 p.m., police received a call about a pedestrian who had been struck by a silver Toyota Highlander.

“The vehicle’s driver remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation and it was determined that alcohol was not a contributing factor,” said police in a news release.

The pedestrian, a resident of the area, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to the release. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
