An early morning fire damaged a Nipomo home on Christmas Day.

Firefighters responded to a reported structure fire in the 660 block of Sandydale Drive just after 5:40 p.m., according to emergency response app PulsePoint.

When Cal Fire crews arrived, they found “that the house was fully involved and that the residents had gotten safely out of the house,” the agency said on X.

Roughly three hours later, crews contained the fire and were expected to remain at scene performing overhaul, Cal Fire said.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation.

Santa Maria City Fire Department at Five Cities Fire Authority assisted in the incident.
