A vehicle struck a pedestrian at a Highway 101 ramp in San Luis Obispo on Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The vehicle was traveling southbound on the highway when it hit a pedestrian at the Madonna Road off-ramp at about 9:19 a.m., according to the CHP traffic log.

An ambulance was on its way to the scene of the crash, but the CHP did not yet have details about if the pedestrian or driver sustained injuries.

The CHP requested a traffic break starting at the California Boulevard ramp at 9:33 a.m. in an attempt to slow oncoming traffic, the CHP log said.

A tow truck was also on its way to the scene of the crash.

The incident did not appear to be significantly slowing traffic on the highway as of 10 a.m., according to Caltrans’ QuickMap, though there was traffic along the off-ramp.
