SLO County city to lose power in planned outage tonight. How long will electricity be out?

Power outage

An area of Grover Beach will lose electricity overnight Tuesday during a planned power outage.

According to a Facebook post by the Grover Beach Police Department, PG&E will turn off power in the area around Fourth Street and Grand Avenue overnight.

The outage was scheduled to begin at 11 p.m. and last through 6 a.m. on Wednesday, the police department said.

Traffic signals and street lighting could turn off during the planned outage, the post said.

Police reminded that when traffic signals are not operating, the intersection should be treated as a four-way stop.
