Before you run out the door to do your grocery shopping and errands on Monday, Nov. 11, remember it’s Veterans Day.

Here’s a list of what is open and closed in San Luis Obispo County for the federal holiday — from supermarkets and pharmacies to banks.

Holiday hours can differ by location, so be sure to check with your local store before heading out.

Here’s what’s open and closed across the county:

Are SLO County grocery stores open on Veterans Day?

Several supermarkets and retailers will be open in SLO County on Veterans Day, including:

Albertsons: 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Costco: 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Food 4 Less: 5 a.m. to midnight

Ralphs: 6 a.m. to 1 a.m.

Smart and Final: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Target: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Trader Joe’s: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Vons: 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., pharmacy open 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 8 p.m.

Are local pharmacies open on Veterans Day?

A number of local pharmacies are open on Veterans Day. These include:

CVS: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., pharmacy open 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2 to 6 p.m.

Walgreens: open 24 hours, pharmacy open from 2 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.

Walmart: 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., pharmacy open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

What’s closed in SLO County on Veterans Day?

Government offices such as the U.S. Postal Service and public libraries will be closed, as well as and most banks.

Package delivery service FedEx will also be closed on Veterans Day. However, rival company UPS will be open for the holiday.
