An elderly driver crashed her car into the front of Golden Donut in Pismo Beach on Friday.

The woman careened through the front of the building at about 12:45 p.m., shattering the glass door and front window, Pismo Beach Police Department Sgt. Jason Spears said at the scene. He added it appeared to be an accident.

No one was injured in the crash, he said.

The vehicle was eventually removed from the building located at 863 North Oak Park Blvd.

The doughnut shop will be closed for all of Friday while it waits for a new door, property management company Rutledg Incorporated spokesperson Holliss Vaupel said.

The shop hopes to reopen on Saturday, Vaupel said.
