A car flipped off the road near Lake Nacimiento on Friday afternoon, leaving the driver majorly injured, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The driver was reported driving on Chimney Rock Road when the car went up a hill, flipped and landed back on its wheels, according to CHP’s traffic incident information page.

The driver was alone in the car with a dog that ran off after the crash, the page said.

CHP was notified of the crash via an automatic iPhone notification.

The driver was transported to Adventist Health Sierra Vista hospital to be treated for major injuries and a tow truck was requested for the car, according to the CHP page.
