Multi-van crash slows traffic on Highway 1, Highway 46 in northern SLO County

California Highway Patrol was on the scene of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 1 and Highway 46 south of Cambria on Friday afternoon.

The crash involved two vans with major front end damage, according to CHP’s traffic incident report page. One of the vehicles was blocking the road while the other had traveled into a ditch, according to the CHP page.

In a post on X, Templeton CHP advised drivers to use caution if driving in the area.

The crash did appear to be slowing traffic at the intersection as of 1:45 p.m., according to Caltrans’ QuickMap.
