A weaving white pickup truck that nearly caused a head-on collision crashed into a mountainside on Highway 41 on Friday afternoon, injuring the driver and temporarily blocking the roadway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

At about 2:30 p.m., the truck was traveling northbound down Highway 41 near Bridge Road with the driver reportedly weaving across the roadway, occasionally driving into oncoming traffic, the CHP traffic incident log said.

The truck almost crashed head-on into an oncoming vehicle driving southbound on the highway. The truck then crashed into the left side of the hill beside the highway near Bear Ridge Road.

The driver suffered minor injuries in the crash, the CHP said.

Debris littered the roadway, temporarily blocking the northbound and southbound lanes of the highway, the CHP said.
