Overnight fire destroys barn in northern SLO County
A barn in northern San Luis Obispo County was destroyed by an overnight fire in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
According to a post on X from Cal Fire, at around 4:20 a.m. firefighters responded to reports of a structure fire in progress in the 5000 block of Creston Valley Road in eastern rural Paso Robles.
On arrival, firefighters found the barn fully involved in flames, along with two trailers and surrounding vegetation, according to a Cal Fire update.
Cal Fire was backed up by additional firefighters from Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services and the Atascadero Fire Department.
By around 5:22 a.m., the three agencies had contained the fire, which also burned an eighth of an acre of surrounding vegetation, according to a Cal Fire update.
No animals were injured in the fire, though the barn appeared to be a total loss.
