A semi truck crash into a power pole closed part of a road connecting Highway 1 to southern San Luis Obispo County on Wednesday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol’s Traffic Information Incident Page, at around 9:30 a.m. a semi truck crashed into a power pole on Valley Road Between Highway 1 and Los Berros Road in Oceano, suspending a sparking wire around 6 feet off of the ground.

At around 9:33 a.m., the CHP received a report that the truck was stuck in its place with the cable draped over the vehicle, leading the CHP to close the northbound lane and switch to a one-lane traffic control through the area, according to the CHP page.

By 9:54 p.m., CHP advised that a long-term closure may be necessary while the pole was reset by work crews from Cal Fire or PG&E.

A tow truck was dispatched to the crash around 10:43 a.m., according to the CHP page.

No one was injured in the crash, the CHP said in a post on X.
