San Luis Obispo Fire Department Chief Todd Tuggle told The Tribune the spill likely originated from a nearby business, but was not hazardous to human health.

The material spilled into the storm drains has yet to be identified, but a cleanup crew would be onsite to clean up the remaining material for the next few hours, Tuggle said.
