SLO firefighters save unconscious resident from burning home
San Luis Obispo firefighters rescued and revived a person who was discovered not breathing inside a burning home on Tuesday, the agency said on social media.
At 12:39 p.m., the Fire Department responded to a single-family residence structure fire in the 1300 block of Breck Street around, according to PulsePoint.
When crews arrived, the Fire Department said, they found “heavy smoke and fire from a structure in the rear lot.”
One person was found in the structure not breathing, the agency said.
Crews removed the person from the residence and immediately began CPR. They were able to revive the person, who was then transported to a nearby hospital.
The San Luis Obispo Police Department, Utilities Department and Cal Fire all assisted with the response.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, the agency said. Crews were still responding to the fire as of 2:50 p.m., according to PulsePoint.
