A three-vehicle crash was slowing traffic on Highway 101 in Atascadero on Friday evening.

The crash was reported at 5:58 p.m. on northbound Highway 101 near the Del Rio Road off-ramp, according to California Highway Patrol’s traffic incident report page.

Two vehicles were reported in the center divider and one was on the roadside, according to the CHP page.

Around 6:11 p.m., authorities requested Caltrans for assistance closing one of the northbound lanes as emergency responders worked at the scene.

The crash brought northbound traffic to a standstill in the area. As of 6:20 p.m., Caltrans’ QuickMap showed a substantial traffic slowdown stretching back to the San Anselmo Road ramps.
