Crash brings Highway 101 traffic to standstill in Arroyo Grande

A car crash brought Highway 101 traffic through Arroyo Grande to a standstill on Thursday evening.

The crash, which involved two vehicles, was reported near the southbound Halcyon Road exit just after 6 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol’s traffic incident report page.

One vehicle was reported as off the roadway, while the other was partially blocking a lane.

According to the CHP page, traffic was exiting at the Grand Avenue exit and re-entering the highway past Halcyon Road while the southbound lanes were shut down.

Traffic was reportedly stretching from the Grand Avenue exit all the way back to the the Oak Park Boulevard exit, according to Caltrans’ QuickMap.
