More than 1,900 PG&E customers without power in SLO County

More than 1,900 PG&E customers were without power Thursday afternoon during an outage in southern San Luis Obispo County, according to the utility company’s website.

The power outage affected the Pismo Beach area in the Pismo Oaks neighborhood along Highway 101 and extended east along Price Canyon Road to the homes around the Lopez Lake area and the Edna Valley near San Luis Obispo, according to PG&E’s outage map.

Power went out at around 3:41 p.m. Thursday and was expected to be restored at 7:15 p.m., PG&E’s outage website said.

The cause of the outage was unknown by 5 p.m. Thursday.
