Wildfire burning off Highway 166 reaches 100% containment. Here’s how big it got

A wildfire burning off Highway 166 reached 100% containment Saturday evening, according to Los Padres National Forest. .

The Rinconada Fire started Friday afternoon next to Rinconada Ranch on the north side of the highway, halfway between New Cuyama and Santa Maria, Los Padres National Forest said via Twitter.

The blaze scorched a total of 100 acres, the agency said.

Los Padres Fire personnel fought the fire with assistance from Santa Barbara County Fire Department, Cal Fire and U.S. Bureau of Land Management crews.
