Car crash injures driver, snarls traffic on Highway 101 through SLO
One person was injured in a car crash that snarled traffic on southbound Highway 101 through San Luis Obispo on Thursday afternoon, according to California Highway Patrol.
A silver Hyundai and blue Kia collided near the Los Osos Valley Road off-ramp at about 5:30 p.m., according to the CHP traffic page.
One driver received moderate injures during the crash, and was transported to the hospital, the San Luis Obispo Police Department said on Twitter.
Traffic was backed up from the Los Osos Valley Road exit to the area of the Broad Street ramps, according to Caltrans QuickMap.
The cause of the collision is under investigation, police said.
The San Luis Obispo Police Department, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office Probation Unit, a Templeton Fire Department paramedic and California Highway Patrol responded to the incident.
