Construction to close main road connecting Morro Bay and Los Osos. Here’s when
Construction will close a portion of South Bay Boulevard connecting Morro Bay and Los Osos next week, according to the San Luis Obispo County Public Works Department.
South Bay Boulevard will be closed overnight from Quintana Road in Morro Bay to Turri Road in Los Osos, the agency said in a news release.
The road will close in both directions from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, through Wednesday, Aug. 16, the agency said.
From Wednesday, Aug. 16 to Friday, Aug. 18, “the road will be open with alternating one-way traffic maintained by flaggers between the hours of 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. with delays,” the release said.
“No work is scheduled to be performed during the daytime hours,” the release said.
Heavy rain washed out the road shoulder on South Bay Boulevard during the winter storm series.
Now, Morro Bay is repairing the road shoulder and performing pavement rehabilitation work, the release said.
