Update, 6:10 p.m.: The fire was 50% contained at about three-quarters of an acre, according to radio traffic.

Cal Fire crews responded Friday evening to a vegetation fire east of Templeton.

The fire was reported in the 350 block of Hollyhock Lane, near Neal Springs Road.

As of 5:50 p.m., the fire was estimated at less than two acres with a moderate rate of spread, according to radio traffic.

It was burning in grass and had a potential to grow to 10 acres. One structure was being threatened by the flames.

Air support was called in to help the effort on the ground.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
