Paso Robles residents might notice police officers near a local school this week, according to the Paso Robles Police Department.

Paso Robles police are hosting a training excerise on Tuesday and Thursday at Pat Butler Elementary School, 700 Nicklaus St. in Paso Robles, the department said in a news release.

The training is not open to the public.

“Residents should not be alarmed by the increased presence of law enforcement during this exercise,” police said in the release. “The Police Department is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all citizens within our community.”
