911 service restored to SLO Verizon customers, police say

San Luis Obispo Verizon customers can once again call 911 Tuesday, the the Police Department said in social media posts on Tuesday morning.

Since Sunday evening, 911 calls from Verizon customers in San Luis Obispo would not go through.

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office began rerouting 911 calls to its dispatch center Monday as the wireless network provider worked to resolve the issue.

According to the post, the issue was resolved at 8:06 a.m. Tuesday morning.
