Drivers traveling southbound on the Cuesta Grade can expect more traffic than usual this week.

That’s because Caltrans is closing one lane of Highway 101 to trim vegetation on the side of the road after a winter of heavy rains, Caltrans said.

The lane will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to the agency.

Caltrans warned drivers to plan ahead for possible delays due to the work.
