More spring showers could be headed to San Luis Obispo County.

According to the National Weather Service, rain is forecast to fall in the Central Coast next week.

There’s a chance of rainfall as early as May 2, the Weather Service said.

However, it’s more likely the rain could fall between May 3 and 5, the agency said.

The area likely won’t see more than an inch of precipitation, with the most rain forecast to fall over San Luis Obispo and the mountain areas northeast of Cambria, according to Weather Service predictions.

In the meantime, the Weather Service’s forecast calls for more sunny skies and warm weather, with high temperatures reaching into the low 80s for inland areas.
