A driver had to be extricated from their vehicle Thursday after a car crash in San Luis Obispo caused a temporary closure of a heavily used road.

The crash, which involved a Toyota pickup and a Ford sedan, happened at around noon near the intersection of California Boulevard and Stafford Street.

California Boulevard was temporarily shut down while crews from the San Luis Obispo Fire Department cleared the wreckage.

There were no injuries in the crash.

“Single patient and has been extricated but fortunately did not suffer injuries,” the Fire Department posted on Twitter.
